Yoga is an ancient form of mind/body healing: it a path or discipline encompassing attitudes and practices for living a healthy and mindful life, consistent with our capacities and resources.

Give yourself the gift of yoga; discover personalised yoga, breathing and meditation practices that focus on your situation, needs, abilities and capacity, and allow you to develop at your own pace.

Yoga keeps the body strong and healthy and helps the mind return to serenity and calm through all the changes, uncertainties and complexities of life and our current times.

Never has a daily home-based yoga practice been more important – together we can develop a personal self-care practice that you can do in your own time each day.

Treat yoga as a medicine in these anxious and uncertain times – take it each day, as often as you need. I have been, and am practising, pranayama 3 or 4 times a day, whenever I need to stabilise and reconnect.

One-to-one private sessions allow you to begin, or refine, your home practice with an experienced  senior teacher. Now is the perfect time to go beyond the possibilities offered in group classes, enjoyable as they are.

Yoga should suit the individual, and was traditionally taught one-to-one as no two people are the same. A personal yoga practice is self-empowering as it:

  • Reduces stress, anxiety, self-doubt, indecision and depression

  • Enhances our quality of life and our relationship with ourself and others

  • Supports lung function

  • Increases our energy levels

  • Improves concentration, memory and focus

  • Fosters a more positive outlook.

Regular practice over time becomes a force for good in our lives by guiding us towards poise, stability and grace in body and mind.

No special equipment is need, just your body, space, motivation and eagerness.

Yoga recognises that no two people are the same; we are all uniquely influenced by our roles and responsibilities, our health, age, stage, gender, family and cultural inheritance, and the ways we have processed our life’s experiences.

Your practices will be tailored to your needs and goals, as well as your stage of life, and current circumstances. The practices will include asana, breathing, relaxation, meditation, sound and gesture and will progress over time.

Classes may concentrate on one particular aspect and can be as long or as short as your time allows.

What we experience in yoga is a conscious influence and change in the overall system. We may choose to begin with the body, the breath, our food, or our relationships. Whatever the point of beginning, we change the totality of the system. It is impossible to overstate the possibilities of this gradual approach to well-being in our lives
