Workshops & Retreats

I currently have retreats planned from September 2021 onwards, but am not yet taking bookings given the Covid-19 crisis. Details will follow as soon as possible.

I have facilitated many yoga retreats over the years, at Ontos in East Gippsland, Hummingbird Eco Retreat on the Mornington Peninsula and more recently at Surf Coast Cabins in Airey’s Inlet. I have also collaborated with other teachers to offer a holistic experience to my students, including:

  • ‘Drawing Breath: Yoga and Drawing Practice’ with Ann Howie

  • ‘Yoga and Meditation’ with Vyvyan Mishra

  • ‘Sutra Studies and Writing’ with Clara Brack

The Retreats cater for up to 10–12 participants and usually run from a Friday afternoon to lunchtime on Sunday. The comfortable accommodation is either a shared cabin with a room of one’s own or a twin share, while the nourishing meals are vegetarian with wholesome snacks available throughout the day.

Upcoming Events

Having not drawn much since school, other than the odd doodle, I was a little hesitant about ‘drawing classes’ while on a yoga retreat. But I was delighted at how much pleasure can be derived from collecting flowers, leaves and twigs, learning some basic drawing skills and then concentrating for an hour or two on trying to reproduce them in pencil and charcoal. Ann Howie is a patient and thoughtful teacher, and under her tuition the practice of drawing was quite meditative – a perfect complement to Deb’s yoga sessions.
